Himura Kenshin from master Nobuhiro Watsuki's manga, Ruroni Kenshin, during his final fight with Shishio Makoto.
Ruroni Kenshin has been one of my favorites ever since I bought the first 4 volumes of the manga. This was also what sparked my interest in the Meiji era. I'd like to buy the rest of the Manga as well. The anime had it's flaws, most notably the huge number of fillers, that eventually killed the series. I had a few problems with the story itself, but I'm not getting into those. More importantly, I learned a lot from the side notes Watsuki inserted between the chapters, something that contributed to my developing respect towards the mangaka. |
