Little is known of the mysterious woman known as Hikari Kotone (not even her age), except that she comes from a clan of half humans that avoid the daylight and feed on blood. Kotone is the strongest member of her family, highly skilled in swordsmanship, which is the core specialization of the Hikari clan, making her an ideal candidate for the rank of Hunter. She seems to hold greater authority within the family than the clan elder, who barely does more than representing the clan within the elder council of the Shadow Hunters.
This is another piece from my Shadow Hunter series. Things just felt incomplete without including a vampire, just for the fun of deconstructing vampire stereotypes. I just noticed that I forgot to draw her cane, but with the outlines there and the red mist, I hope it's not too obvious. She also ended up looking a lot older that she was meant to look. The character's design is taken from a film (pleas, for your own sake, don't ask), which had a similar looking woman, who's design in turn was modeled after a main character from Joshuu Sasori series (or so I heard). I think I already said too much with this. Suffice to say, I kinda liked that dark and shady outfit.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
